Phil Redford's solo exhibition features 84 works created in the past 15 years.

Music, opera and dance have provided the impetus for many of Phil Redford's paintings, prints and books. Selected linocut plates from the books based on Wagner's Ring cycle, paintings which derive from Britten's operas, Gloriana and Midsummer Night's Dream, appear in this show, as well as his War Requiem paintings (created for LSA's War and Peace exhibition in 2011) and linocuts relating to Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring.

In the works using household paint, while the images employ traditional subjects such as the human figure and landscape, Phil Redford is developing a new language of painting in this newly investigated medium.

Rich Mix is located in the heart of Shoreditch and Bethnal Green Road, close to the City with excellent transport links, on the doorstep of Shoreditch High Street station.
