“The only rule is that there are no rules. Anything is possible. . . . It’s all about risks, deliberate risks” -  Helen Frankenthaler

A three-hour workshop in which the emphasis is on experimenting with oil paints. Examples of the work of Helen Frankenthaler (1928-2011) will be explored and her techniques discussed and demonstrated. You are then free to do similar experiments or continue with individual projects. The aim is to demonstrate the possibilities in painting in order to loosen up painting styles and overcome preconceptions. These experiments can also act as starting points for new directions in your work.

The workshop is suitable for those who have some painting experience and are interested in learning more about the history of painting.
