Elected 1962
Joan Roobottom was teacher of Art in Further Education centres in Leicester. She had work accepted and hung five times in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and had several solo shows
She painted any subject, in any media, contemporary work in strong colour.
She was elected to membership of Leicester Society of Artist in 1962 and continued to regularly exhibit with the society through her long life. She served as LSA Chair in 1985 and 1989.
Joan Roobottom died in 2019
