LPW's professional development series continues with a look at how you can use digital tools in your practice. See how digital image generation and manipulation can really enhance traditional printmaking processes. Looking at image creation, colour palettes, image layering, scaling, cropping transparent colour, plate separation and archival issues.

This two hour live demo will include plenty of question and answer time and help you to enhance and expand your traditional printmaking options.

LSA member David Clarke fell in love with printmaking during his MA fine art studies, so also took a Dip.A.D. in Graphic Design and as a result was drawn into the advertising industries where he learnt to explore the full scope of design and print and engage with the development of modern print technologies. However, the pull of printmaking as a fine art form has never been too far from the surface.

Now, after nearly 30 years design and art experience as a Creative Director and Consultancy Partner, the opportunities to explore and utilise today’s modern print production techniques including digitally processed imaging at archival level is just too strong; so he has put the commercial world back in its box and now solely concentrates on creating art prints.

His other joy is spreading the word about all he has learned to other artists and printmakers at any opportunity and share his love of print.

Call in to Leicester Print Workshop during opening hours (Tuesday - Saturday, 10am - 5pm) or telephone to book and pay by card, cash or cheque.
