Leicester Cathedral invites you to travel through Lent towards Easter and take part in the Tree of Loss: Tree of Hope.
Each hand-printed leaf added to the tree recognises a loss - a loved one, special occasion or event that has been lost in the last 12 months. The leaves, created by Sarah Kirby, are available to purchase online from Wednesday 17th February through to Saturday 3rd April 2021.
"I have been working with Leicester Cathedral on a Lent project -Tree of Loss and Tree of Hope," says Sarah Kirby. "This has involved creating hundreds of hand linoprinted leaves to be attached to trees in the cathedral during Lent with personal message on. At Easter everyone is sent their leaf, inside a specially commissioned card."
