Corinne Lambert is from Leicestershire, where she has lived for most of her life. Currently, she is sculpting in plaster and wire.
“Images and stories from the past and present, places, experiences, and human artistic and sporting performances inspire me. In some of my work I have created moments of stories, and I have also created figures pushing to the limit”.
Corinne has a BA from Bretton Hall College, West Yorkshire, where she worked on various community arts performance projects. Later, when she was based back, living and working, in Leicestershire, Corinne attended many enjoyable evening sculpture courses at the Attenborough Arts Centre, University of Leicester.
In 2024, The Elizabeth Herrick Society commissioned Corinne to create 'Abolition', pictured on this page, to honour the work of the activist who was born in Leicester in 1787.
