Graham Lacey studied lithography at Leicester School of Print from 1978 to 1981 before building a career as a graphic reproduction artist. He now works primarily in oils, using an expressive alla prima approach that brings immediacy, energy and depth to his paintings.
His work was selected for the Royal Society of Portrait Painters Exhibition in 2019 and 2025, and he was also a finalist in the Artists of the Year 2019 exhibition, organised by Artists & Illustrators magazine at the Mall Galleries, London. Graham’s paintings have also been shown with the Royal Society of Portrait Painters, the Royal Institute of Oil Painters and the Royal Society of British Artists at the Mall Galleries.
