Liza Lee Jowsey has worked as an artist, printmaker, tutor and lecturer for over twenty years. She holds a First Class (Hons) Degree and MA in Fine Art.  A member of Leicester Print Workshop, she was a Trustee from 2007 - 2013. She currently teaches part time at Thomas Estley Community College, Leicestershire.

“I have been making things since I was a child. My virtual world was on paper and working with fabric. I continue this today by printmaking and painting. It's always been an exploration of my relationship to the world within and to the horizon and beyond. I explore the infinite microscopic interior world that defines us and the infinite exterior landscapes we inhabit. I create something that is not real, but looks familiar. It's an emotional response.”

Recent exhibitions include the Printmakers Council 7th International Mini Print, London; Pushing Print, Margate; Gallery Guestur, Reykjavik.  Recent commissions include work referencing local corsetry industry for the Market Harborough branch of Pizza Express, and the DNA print inscribed in granite in Leicester’s Cultural Quarter and Curve, for Thread Public Art Project.
