We are grateful for the assistance of Sock Gallery and Loughborough Town Hall for the staging of this remarkable and inspiring show which included 165 works by 97 LSA members. For the first time in the history of the Society, we took the exhibition out of the City to the County reaching new audiences.
In 1881, the Society was formed by imaginative, forward thinking artists. Today, LSA values that heritage and draws from its history and legacy, while proudly looking to the future with an innovative outlook. This was demonstrated by the powerful impact in the exhibition of diverse and dynamic artwork from highly acclaimed Leicestershire and Rutland artists. Our members are well known for their professional values and high standards of creative work. Their ideas, skills and sheer variety of approaches is intriguing and stimulating.
