I enjoy using a wide range of media and approaches working to a number of on-going themes. Recently my work has been inspired by travel and my local environment. Currently I’m making pictures based on the coastal landscape of North Norfolk, local urban trees and Leicestershire woodland.
Since graduating with a Fine Art degree in the early ‘80s I have shown in over 160 solo and group exhibitions in public and commercial galleries and have work in private and public collections world-wide.
At the moment you can see my work at Bircham Gallery in Holt, Norfolk, Tarpey Gallery in Castle Donington (both galleries have work on line) and Archangel Studio, Ferrers Centre, Staunton Harold near Ashby de la Zouch.
Over the years I have undertaken a number of residences including Grizedale Forest in Cumbria and Buckinghamshire County Museum in Aylesbury, Leicester Print Workshop and Launde Abbey. I enjoy working collaboratively with other artists and organisations and to commission for individuals, local authorities, museums and galleries, interior designers and publishers including P&O cruise liners and Faber and Faber.
I currently teach courses for adults with Leicester Adult Education Services (at Wellington Street and the Bishopdale Hub), the Attenborough Arts Centre of the University of Leicester and Leicester Print Workshop where I also have a studio.
